Mr. Sharad Kapoor conducted two workshops as a part of the Entrepreneurship Talk Series by E-Cell IIITD, namely "Investing for Beginners" and "Economic Crisis amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic".

By far, these are two of the best sessions I have ever attended - extremely insightful and profound. Having no previous economic or financial knowledge, these sessions gave me a perfect headstart. The way Sharad delivers the workshops is really captivating - he makes everything seem quite intuitive (as if you knew it already!)

Excellent presentation, organisation of content and immense positivity - that was resonated equally by the 100+ participants. The fantastic feedback post the workshop says it all! Thank you so much for these fruitful sessions. Not only did I learn from them, but I also enjoyed them thoroughly.

It is because of Sharad Kapoor that I started looking at money in a different way . If not for him, I probably would have been oblivious to the importance of personal finance and how money works for the rest of my life as my family doesn't have a finance background at all.

He teaches everything from scratch in layman terms, so there is no need to worry even if you are completely new to the subject of finance. The power of investment was an eye-opener for me. He tells us everything that we should and shouldn't do with money. He conveys everything in an interesting way and that's what kept me glued to his sessions. He is well-versed in his subject and gives as much information as possible. If you want to be financially sound in life, this is the right place. Consider this class an investment that will only fetch you greater returns in future.

I attended Mr. Sharad Kapoor's seminar in January at my college campus. Studying to be an engineer, I was a bit reluctant to join a talk on finance. But I can safely say that I was clearly wrong.

Hearing Mr. Kapoor was truly an eye opening experience. In the beginning, he covered basic topics like personal finance, taxes etc then moved onto more complex ones, which was very helpful for me as I had no knowledge in that field. His way of explaining things and knowledge is simply off the charts. After the seminar I was quite relieved that I how to manage my personal finances well.

The biggest takeaway was, that he showed and explained to us that how living below your means and saving in your 20's is much much better than wasteful expenditure and saving later in life. To this date, I haven't found better financial advice than this.

I sincerely thank Sharad for that wonderful talk and hope I get to attend other's hosted by him.

The Introduction to Investing course lectures were well structured and easy to understand. Mr. Sharad is a great teacher. The concepts were broken down and explained clearly with real life examples. The syllabus was well constructed and had a good flow.

Another good thing about the course was that it was not fully theoretical, rather it had practical assignments which helped me apply whatever I learnt, in real life.

However, I felt that we could've had more time to complete the projects as the completion of some of them depended on external factors. Overall, it was an excellent course and gave me a great insight into the world of finance.

I graduated from Christ University in 2018. The University had initiated activity sessions, the main aim for which was to provide the juniors with practical knowledge and give them an insight into the real world. It was conducted by the seniors and that is how I came in contact with Sharad Kapoor who was in charge of most of the activity sessions conducted.

A good senior paves the way for your development and learning. Sharad was my senior and a great mentor during my college years. He was a self motivated team leader and brought with him a great deal of knowledge on the Financial Markets. He was an excellent orator and someone you could learn a lot from.

The seminar on investment decisions delivered by Mr. Sharad Kapoor, was extremely enriching and beneficial. All the relevant areas were covered and explained in a very easy manner.

The seminar was helpful in clearing my doubts regarding the stock market and how to make investment decisions. I found the whole seminar very engaging and interactive which is one of the major reasons why I enjoyed it. I was deeply inspired by Mr. Kapoor and it encouraged me to invest in stock markets.

It was a great opportunity to discuss and communicate about the world of finance. I liked the approach taken for explaining the investment in stock market and was very uplifting.

The class taken by Sharad Kapoor at Christ University last year was an open elective, Introduction to Investing, held on alternative days of the week. Honestly, it is the only class I eagerly awaited to attend in my entire three years in college. The material covered in this class was aimed at giving an all-around understanding of the entire financial market and how it functions. Sir didn’t just touch upon the various financial instruments one can invest in but explained each one with clarity and elaborate detail.

We learned about every financial avenue there is. It also focused on personal financing, which is my favorite unit. I also learned about the importance of investing after doing calculations measuring the time value of money. After attending this class, I genuinely felt liberated from just watching my money lay idle in my bank account.

One of the internal assessments which we were evaluated on was every student was required to open a DMAT account and make a pan card. In this way, we had to apply the knowledge taught in class practically. The highlight of the class was when Sharad, to eliminate bias, asked all the students to turn in assignments without the name and instead provide a combination of letters and numbers. Only after the evaluation was Sir able to associate the performance with the respective student. It is the first time I have seen a teacher do this. Hats off to you, Sharad!!!!! I will replicate this model if I ever have to evaluate the performance of people I know.

I loved this class and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone and everyone. It was a real eye-opener to me; after attending this class, I am sure you would feel the same way too.

I am a student from Christ University and have been taught Introduction to Investing by Sharad sir. I actually thought that investing class would be boring but actually turned out to be fun.

Through his classes, I’ve gained a lot of knowledge about ways to manage finance in life. He was always clear in giving information and all that he spoke seemed useful to the future me. Through his class my way of thinking has changed. I feel it was a good choice to go for an investing class.

I skipped into Introduction to Investing with the idea of being able to pitch into small savings being bricked up. I had no idea about the functioning of it.

I was amazed at our teacher insisting that we all create savings accounts of our own as our assignment submission. The drive was to put us on track at the right time. In today's selfish world, being financially independent is essential, I was able to understand the routing of it, and it was very helpful.

To those looking at beginning a work career post College, the right guidance was given on how we could begin with the right scheme at the right time. I also felt that classes on handling income tax smartly in detail needed to be included. I hope that is done as well for the students taking up your course in future. Cheers to your Goodwill.

I have taken Derivatives and Personal finance classes from Sharad sir and both were a delight to attend. He has a unique way to simplify complex financial concepts. His personal finance classes were highly relevant. He helped me understand my financial goals better and the correct ways to achieve them.

I have always looked forward to his classes because they were relatable, up to date with most recent developments in the economy and industry and most importantly, extremely easy to follow and understand.

Finding all those skills in a mentor coupled with experience and expertise is difficult and I am thankful to him to have helped me start my own financial planning journey early.

I had the opportunity of studying under Mr. Kapoor in my first semester when I opted for 'introduction to investing' course as an elective. His deep knowledge about investing and personal finance along with his easy going attitude with students made the classes quite fun and interactive.

Sir's classes were not only theoretical but we're also practical as he gave us hands-on experience on how the financial system works by making us analyse different case studies and by helping us create our own demat account and inculcating a habit of investing from an early age. Also not to forget, his advice on personal finance and how to manage your savings was quite valuable.

I learnt Personal Finances and a lot more about Investing under Mr Sharad Kapoor. Kapoor made Finance so exciting and fun even for a Humanities student like me! He only taught us for some time, but the amount of knowledge we gained in that minimal amount of time is enormous.

At first, I was worried if I could cope up with the way he taught because I knew nothing about Investing or Finances, but then he taught us everything from scratch, and I am pretty sure I can talk about stocks for 10 minutes straight :)

I am pretty sure if you get coached by Mr Kapoor You will End up having a great financial life ahead!

About the offline session:

Being a student of IIITD, I got a chance to attend a wonderful event on finance and investment, taken by Mr. Sharad Kapoor. Being in that session really helped me get some basic knowledge about the stock market, different type of funds, assets, liabilities, etc.

It was a breakthrough for me because after that session, I really started thinking about how I can invest the money which I earn or which I would be earning in the future. The best part of the session was that the knowledge that we got from it is that we got to hear about how money works, on what factors the value of a commodity depends and soo much more.

About the online session:

During the starting of lockdown when we all were locked in our houses. I again got a chance to attend an online session organized by ECell IIITD and taken by Sharad. It was the time when markets all over the world started to fall down and people were unsure about what's going to happen in the near future. So I think it was the perfect time for such an informative session where we got to know that how a pandemic affects market, how it affects a nations growth and development and what we can expect in near future.

It was really informative to know the long term effects of this type of pandemic and also that how government's decision can make it better or worse. We asked questions during the whole event and really got satisfactory answers.

After attending both the sessions I realized the importance of financial education in anyone's life. I must say that these sessions motivated me to learn more about finance and now I am way better in managing my money than I was some months back.

Firstly Let me tell who I am! I'm Shyam from Christ University and I am currently pursuing BSc in Computer Science. As a science graduate, I had no background in commerce or investing. My college has an extra credit system that allows science students to pick any commerce subject for extra credits. That's how I ended up in Sharad sir's class.

These classes weren't normal like other classes. It was more like a hands-on real-life market experience if you know what I mean. His classes were so informative, clear, and concise.

For me, after taking his classes, I learned so many things that I didn't in a short period of time. And I realized it's not a 9-5 job that will make financial independence, it's investing in assets that will make you free from the rat trap.

If you are in any of his classes, I bet you'll come out wondering your whole life was a lie!
